The extent of the payment protection insurance scandal has been well documented. Millions of PPI policies were mis sold to customers who didn’t need, want or even know about them when they took out a loan or credit card.
Since losing their battle regarding PPI complaint handling back in April 2011, lenders have had little other option than to reimburse their customers who had been mis sold PPI.
Despite this, lenders aren’t exactly bending over backwards to quickly compensate its customers who have been mis sold payment protection insurance.
There is an increasing number of complaints surrounding the handling of PPI claims from customers. This includes compensation not matching the estimations provided, dedicated helplines going unanswered, letters full of legal jargon some of which have been sent to the customer’s former address even though the banks have the current one, and even examples of compensation cheques made out to the wrong person, or for the wrong amount.
Understandably, “mishaps” such as these, be them a deliberate delay tactic or not, are both unfair and frustrating to customers who have already been duped by their lender once before. Any kind of mistake, or the inability to get in touch with someone regarding your claim, will result in one thing – a lengthy delay to the customer receiving their compensation, money that is rightfully theirs.
Should you encounter one of these delay tactics, it is up to you to chase your lender and alert them to the mistake or issue. However, as a PPI Return customer, we will do all this for you.
While it is possible we could face similar hurdles such as these, we have the knowledge and experience to deal with the situation as quickly as possible and help you get the compensation you are entitled to.
Let PPI Return relieve the stress of reclaiming payment protection insurance. Simply complete our online claim form then sit back with your feet up while we do all the leg work.
